The role of the digital economy as a lever for growth is well established. It permeates all sectors of the global economy, and plays an important role in its growth. It now accounts for 30% of global economic growth, 20% of the world's Gross Domestic Product (GDP).
To accelerate the specific development of this sector in Cameroon, the Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications has taken a number of measures, including the following, setting up a technical platform and commissioning the research center for the development of the digital economy in Cameroon.
The aim of this platform will be to seize all potential growth opportunities, detect project leaders, support them through to completion and full autonomy, and act as a portal for job-seekers.
This large-scale project will be managed by AFREETECH in its role as project manager, and the company 𝐏𝐇𝐎𝐍𝐄 𝐂𝐎𝐍𝐓𝐑𝐎𝐋 Cloud Control) for the implementation
The project is phased in different stages, each of which constitutes a (...) :
- complete acquisition and installation of all infrastructures;
- acceptance of tools and conclusive tests of infrastructure acceptability ;
- training of personnel responsible for operating and implementing the technical platform;
A kick-off meeting was held on Wednesday November 4 at MINPOSTEL, chaired by the Director of General Affairs on behalf of the Minister.
This will involve 𝐀𝐅𝐑𝐄𝐄𝐓𝐄𝐂𝐇 ensure that the technical design of this platform complies with the requirements of the Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications and with current standards in the field.
AFREETECH as an international player in digital transformation and business performance, plays an important role. The firm will be responsible for pre-validating, controlling, monitoring and evaluating all the work and services involved in setting up the technical platform. It will also be responsible for ensuring compliance with the technical specifications set out in the Cahier des Clauses Techniques Particulières (CCTP).
